Lot presentation

Alsace Pinot noir Le Chant des Oiseaux Gérard Schueller (Domaine) 2018

The wine

Tasting blind, professional tasters guessed this cuvée to be one of Burgundy’s best. It is, in fact, one of the ambitious Gérard Schueller’s finest cuvées.
From a parcel of 600 square metres, this wine has finesse and a lovely minerality on the palate. It has a fruity nose – cherry, raspberry, - with a smoky hint alongside notes of gentle spice.
This is a domain that works naturally and biodynamically. In the vineyard and the winery alike, the goal is to reveal the finesse of the fruit with as little intervention as possible.
