This Brunello di Montalcino is produced from 20-year-old Sangiovese vines. The yeasts used are indigenous. The grapes are then destemmed then ferment for 5 days before being macerated on lees for 20 days. The wine is then aged in demi-muids already used for three wines for 24-30 months. It isn’t filtered or fined. The nose reveals notes of red fruits (cherry) and the tannins are particularly silky.
About the Producer Tenuta Buon Tempo
Tenuta Buon Tempo's vineyard is located at the extreme south of Montalcino. The 26-hectare property includes vines (Sangiovese), olive trees and woods. In the early 1990s, 12 hectares were chosen to be cultivated organically right at the beginning of the project, while certification was only obtained in 2018. Tenuta Buon Tempo is the ideal place to produce wines: constance ventilation, small amounts of rain, poor soils which are perfectly exposed: all the elements needed to produce elegant wines.
