More infoThe Nebbiolo vines flourish in the emblematic vineyard of Piedmont, owned by the Italian Cascina Fontana estate for over 100 years. The plots stretch across gentle slopes and thrive on grey and white marl soil. To preserve the quality of the raw material, the grapes are harvested entirely by hand at peak ripeness. In the winery, the grapes macerate with their skins for around two weeks. They then ferment in stainless steel vats with native yeasts. The cuvée is then aged in 25 hectolitre oak casks before bottling.
The ruby-red colour reveals a powerful bouquet, dominated by scents of pink flowers and fresh red fruit, complemented by subtle hints of balsamic. The elegant, deep and harmonious palate reveals a fine balance of silky tannins and fine acidity, leading to a long, dry finish.
