More info

An iconic wine coming from the New Zealand estate of Ata Rangi located in the Martinborough region. It is produced using Pinot Noir grapes that are grown with care on a 20-hectare plot of historic vines that were planted in 1980. The vineyard is managed following eco-friendly practices and without the use of herbicides or pesticides, in order to promote a natural balance in the soil. Harvests are carried out by hand with each grape being masterfully selected and 60% of the grapes are destemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 15 to 23 days. Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is pressed and aged in new and used French barrels for around 11 months before blending and bottling.
This cuvée unveils aromas of red and black fruits, cherries, prunes and spices as well as floral hints and a subtle touch of wood. On the palate, the wine is not only highly complex but also flavourful and beautifully spiced, reflecting the outstanding quality of the soils on the other side of the world.
