Chablis Grand Cru Vaudésir Christian Moreau 2014

The wine

Decades-old vines grown on a superb, exposed terroir were chosen for the making of this cuvée. Harvested by hand, the berries were vinified in stainless steel vats and the wine matured for four months in oak barrels. It has a pale, golden colour and an aromatic bouquet marked by notes of white flowers, citrus and minerals. Frank and lively, its palate is balanced by a certain density and complexity which will only get better with time.

About the Producer Christian Moreau

Today it's Fabien Moreau, an oenologue by trade, who's at the helm of Domaine Christian Moreau -a domain possessing plots ideally situated in grands crus. They are extremely well-kept, and the berries are picked by hand in order to better control the quality of the future juice produced. It is vinified with the view of producing fine, just and precise wines. Thus, Fabien Moreau uses wooden containers frugally, allowing the wines to develop a certain suppleness, even a velvety texture in the mouth.
