The wine
A blended scotch bottled by Bulloch Lade & Co Ltd for the Italian market, important by Ila S.P.A. A bottling produced before the mid-1970s, including malt from the Caol Ila distillery, which was owned by Bulloch Lade at the time. Red “BL” screw top with Italian tax strip.
About the Producer Bulloch Lade
Founded in 1855, Bulloch Lade & Co was a key broker and blender, and owner of the Caol Ila distillery. Despite rivalling the Distillers Company Limited (DCL), the slowdown that hit the Scottish industry in the early 20th century was fatal for the group and it was liquidated in 1920.
