An Ezra Brooks bourbon produced for David Sherman (now Luxco) by Heaven Hill. Luxco had bought the brand from the Medley distillery.
About the Producer Ezra Brooks
Although not associated with any specific distillery, the Ezra Brooks brand was for a long time produced at the Hoffman distillery in Lawrenceburg, renamed Old Commonwealth by Julien Van Winkle III in 1983. Ezra Brooks went down in history for copying the bottle, label and even slogan from Jack Daniel’s, resulting in a famous court case.
