The wine
A Hazelburn 10 year old distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2014, matured in rundlets and kilderkins, small 60-80 litre casks that offer greater contact between the spirit and the wood, leading to faster maturation. A limited edition of 12,000 bottles.

Owner: J&A Mitchell & Co LtdIn 1997, at the Springbank distillery, the Mitchell family distilled a single malt once produced not far away, Hazelburn. The site was permanently closed in 1925. Hazelburn is an unpeated, triple-distilled malt which, since the mid-2000s, has been the subject of a large number of limited editions.
