Meukow Of. Black vs Cognac
The wine
Meukow VS cognac is a blend of eaux-de-vies aged for at least two years in Limousin oak casks.
About the Producer Meukow
In 1850, Auguste-Christophe and Gustav Meukow, two brothers from Silesia, were sent to France by Tsar Alexander II to supply the Russian Court with cognac. In 1862, after several trips, they set up a sales office in the town of Cognac and founded A.C. Meukow & Co. With the support of influential shareholders like Henri Bouraud, Mayor of Cognac from 1849 to 1869, the brand found quick success. In 1979, Meukow joined the family-owned group Compagnie de Guyenne, founded in 1969 by Michel Coste.
