The wine

This Jefferson’’s Reserve 1991 is a wheated bourbon distilled at Stitzel-Weller. The Jefferson’’s Reserve brand was launched in 1997 by McClain & Kyne’’s directors Chet and Trey Zoeller. In 2005, the brand was sold to Castle Brands, who are also minor shareholders in the Copperhead Distillery Company, which owns the Kentucky Artisan Distillery. Jefferson’’s Reserve was initially produced with casks from other distilleries. The casks used in this edition were sold by Diageo when the group began moving out of the bourbon market in the early 2000s.
