Blanton's Of. Warehouse H - Barrel n°259 - dumped 2000
The wine
Blanton’’s single barrel #259 aged in the famous Warehouse H and bottled in 2000 for the Silver Edition series (at 49% ABV). The distillery’’s director from 1912 to 1953, Colonel Blanton noticed that the metallic Warehouse H, which was very hot in the summer and cold in the winter, offered optimum conditions for ageing his bourbons.
About the Producer Buffalo Trace Sazerac Company
Founded in 1792, the Buffalo Trace Distillery is located in Frankfort, in the state of Kentucky. Owned by the Sazerac group, it has been known under several names including George T. Stagg and Old Fire Copper (OFC), and is thought to be the oldest distillery in operation in the United States. It produces an eponymous brand of bourbon, Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, as well as numerous other brands including William Larue Weller, Thomas H. Handy, Georges T. Stagg and the famous Pappy Van Winkle.
