The wine

The fifth edition of Flaming Heart from Compass Box, bottled in 2015 to celebrate the company’’s 15th anniversary. The recipe is based on the marriage of whisky aged in heavily toasted French oak casks and a heavily peated whisky. It is a blend of 14-30 year old Caol Ila, Clynelish, and a pre-blend of Clynelish, Dailuaine and Teaninich aged for seven years in oak—all malts dear to the heart of John Glaser, Compass Box’’s master blender. A limited edition of 12,060 bottles.
