Monthélie 1er Cru Ramonet (Domaine) 2020

The wine

This wine displays a deep ruby-red colour with purple nuances, and is remarkably clear in the glass.
The nose is beautifully intense, with aromas of black cherry and raspberry combining harmoniously with subtle floral notes of violet, enriched by a light woody touch. The palate is medium-bodied, with flavours dominated by ripe red fruit, complemented by earthy nuances and delicate spice. The velvety texture is supported by fine, well-integrated tannins that ensure a balanced structure. The moderate acidity adds freshness and liveliness, while the lingering finish reveals a fine complexity with fruity and spicy notes that linger pleasantly on the palate.
This wine offers promising ageing potential, and can be further matured in the cellar to develop greater complexity over the years. Perfect with refined dishes such as roast duck or soft cheeses like Brie.

About the Producer Ramonet

Jean-Claude and Noël safeguard the 17-hectare property created bit by bit by their grandfather Pierre Ramonet in the 1920s, a Burgundian figure. Noël (in the cellar) and Jean-Claude (in the vineyard) took over the domain in 1984. They are the third generation and want to get the best out of the terroir. It is one of the most renowned domain of the appellation for both quality and finesse of its wines.
