About the producer
Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau was created in 2009 in Pierreclos, in the Mâconnais. With his companion Caroline Gon, they studied and began their careers in wine. Their organic vineyard covers about 7 hectares. Soils are ploughed, yields are controlled and vinification has little intervention (fermentation with native yeast only). The wines of Frantz Chagnoleau are similar to their terroir, in that they are rich, precise and complex. A domaine that never ceases to amaze us.
About the wine
Fermentation for Pastoral uses local native yeasts, and élevage is carried out on the lees in Burgundy pièces (barrels) for nine months.
