Domaine Françoise and Denis Clair was created in 1986 with initially only 5 hectares in Santenay, from the plots of the Clair family. The vineyard has gradually extended to today's 15 hectares. Since 2000, the son Jean-Baptiste has joined his parents and works in the field; they also set up a small trading business to expand their range. The wines of this domaine are vinified in a modern style, with succulent reds and a fine, refined style of white.

This very stony soil, with its due southerly exposure, lends this Saint-Aubin Premier Cru a strongly mineral character. This elegant minerality is preserved by the freshness of its notes of citrus and white flowers. This magnificent wine should be paired with refined dishes, and can easily be kept for ten years or so.
