About the producer
Domaine Gérard Raphet has a dozen hectares in Morey-Saint-Denis. Gérard Raphet started working on this vineyard in 2002, representing the fourth generation at the head of the family domaine. The vines extend over Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot with several parcels in grand cru and premier cru. The wines of this domaine stand out for their delicacy and the freshness of the fruit
About the wine
Charmes-Chambertin delivers aromas of red and black berries (raspberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant), along with peppery notes. The palate is complex, with a beautiful vigour, a silky texture and an excellent length. This wine will make a good partner for white meat dishes such as coq au vin.
