France is not the only country where a love of the terroir encourages winegrowers to adopt biodynamic practices, as has been demonstrated by the Felton Road domaine in Central Otago New Zealand since 2002. Nigel Greening's vineyard, which is split between four outstanding parcels, has been producing authentic, delicate wines while respecting the soil and vines since 2002. Vinified in wood, this New Zealand Chardonnay has undergone 12 months' élevage. This has enabled it to develop a complex, harmonious nose imbued with hints of peaches, nuts such as hazelnut, and freshly baked bread. The full-bodied palate is enhanced by a citrus-influenced palette.
