Helios is a Japanese distillery founded in 1961 in Naha, in the Okinawa Islands. Initially built to produce rum, the distillery then developed several other products, such as awamori, fruit liqueur and whisky. Although it has distilled its own whisky since the 1980s to meet the high demand of the Japanese market, the whiskies sold by Helios today are produced from imported whisky.

Kura Rum Cask Finish is a blended malt produced by the Japanese Helios distillery from imported Scottish whiskies aged in rum casks in the warehouses in Okinawa.
