This small estate situated in Meursault produces superb wines from excellent terroirs. One of these is the Gorges de Narvaux, located next to the famous Narvaux. It creates phenomenal breadth and striking minerality and is able to produce open, immediate wines with more abrupt chalky undertones than perhaps the Narvaux. The wines from this small climat are stunning and can compete with the best. It could be said that its slight lack in volume, density and complexity prevent it from competing with the best Premier Crus in the commune. However, the wine’s notes of spices, cold stones, lemon and chalk are ravishing and mean that is an excellent accompaniment to food. In fact, the open and flavourful liveliness of the citrus fruit in the mouth along with the delicate butter flavours and the freshness of the nuts make it the perfect choice for any table.
