A Teacher’’s 12 Year Old imported to France in the 1980s. In 1834, William Teacher began selling whisky in his wife’’s grocery store in Glasgow. After his death, his sons William and Adam took over the business and registered the brand William Teacher & Sons Ltd as well as the brand Highland Cream, a blend of more than 30 whiskies with a generous share of 45% malt whisky. They opened offices in St. Enoch Square and their distillery, Ardmore, in 1898. Their blend was popular in the export market, esby pecially in the United States.
