Information
Frédéric Magnien represents the 5th generation of wine growers of his family. He created his trading house in 1995 and is also in charge of the family domaine (Michel Magnien). He carefully selects his wine growers and the plots that interest him; he manages the harvest personally with his team. He is best known for his red wines but for several years he has also produced white. His wines are characterised by their concentration and their solid character.
Frédéric Magnien, the fifth generation to head the Michel Magnien family estate, set up his own trading house in the 1990s. Here, he offers us a Gevrey-Chambertin Village produced from fifty-year-old Pinot Noir meticulously cultivated in the area known as Champs-Chenys, just below the famous Charmes-Chambertin. There, in an oceanic climate with a semi-continental influence, the noble grape variety so typical of the region draws the nutrients it requires to thrive from the soil. This soil consists of stones, pebbles, limestone and iron.
