About the wine
A single cask (#8) single pot still distilled in 1951 at the B. Daly distillery where Tullamore Dew was once produced before it moved to John’’s Lane when the brand was sold to John Powers & Sons in the 1960s. The distillery closed in 1954 and the stock was discovered by Mark Edwin Andrews, the owner of Knappogue Castle, after which he named this 36 year old malt bottled in 1987.
