Information
Nestling south of Dijon, the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation is the first village on the Côte de Nuits. The Chambertin name was first associated with Gevrey in 1847, under the influence of King Louis-Philippe. The old vineyard is home to the famous Les Échesaux climat, located just south of the prestigious Charmes-Chambertin. The Pinot Noir vines rise from brown soil consisting of clay, limestone and iron ore. In the winery, the emphasis is on showcasing the terroir. The hand-picked grapes are vinified according to traditional methods. Fermentation is triggered by native yeasts and perfectly controlled with a low proportion of new wood.
The bright, dazzling ruby-red colour reveals an intense bouquet combining fruit and animal notes. The perfectly structured palate offers delicious fruity aromas, gently leading to an indulgent and persistent finish.
