Information
Maison Remoissenet Père & Fils was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by Pierre Alfred Remoissenet. In 2004, his great grandson, Roland Remoissenet, decided to hand it over and sold the domaine to Eddy & Howard Milstein, New York bankers and wine collectors. The latter then entrusted the general management to Bernard Repolt, a HEC business school graduate who had previously managed Maison Jadot, the son of doctors from Beaune. There he produces high quality wines which are precise, concentrated, reflect their soil and which are blessed with supple tannins and fine balance.
The Les Bousselots climat, located near Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée, is one of the estate’s prized vineyards. The Pinot Noir vines flourish beautifully on soils consisting of sand and limestone. Each bunch carries the identity of the region and the terroir. In the winery, the estate attaches great importance to traditional vinification, with minimal human intervention and doses of sulphur.
This crimson colour and dark reflections of this Premier cru promise an intense bouquet. The wild and expressive nose is characterised by scents of small black fruits combined with notes of undergrowth. The deep, delicate and elegant palate reveals succulent fruit aromas and the extraordinary length typical of the greatest wines of the Côte de Nuits. This cuvée can easily be cellared for several years.
