About the wine
Kentucky Vintage was a brand bottled by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers at the Willett distillery. Almost all the distillery’’s stock produced before it closed in the 1980s was redistilled for industrial purposes, with the distillery converting to gasohol production in the late 1970s. Only a few casks were recovered by the Kulsveen family when it bought the distillery and created Kentucky Bourbon Distillers in 1983. Most of the group’’s bottlings were therefore produced with bourbon from other distilleries, like Heaven Hill. This version distilled in 1976, however, is from the Willett distillery.
