Information
This Puligny-Montrachet from Domaine Jean-Claude Bachelet is renowned for its finesse and elegance. It is a 100% Chardonnay white wine elaborated from 8 hectares of vines planted on clay-limestone soils. The unique terroir of Puligny-Montrachet, with its well-drained slopes and optimum exposure, ensures that the grapes achieve perfect ripeness and exceptional minerality. Manual harvests ensure the quality of the grapes, which are also meticulously sorted once they reach the winery. Traditional winemaking methods are used, with fermentation in French oak casks, including a proportion of new oak, to add complexity and structure. The wine is aged for around 12 months, allowing its aromas to develop and gain depth.
This nectar delivers aromas of white-fleshed fruit like apple and pear, floral notes of honeysuckle and white flowers, and subtle hints of hazelnut and butter. The palate reveals beautiful acidity, a creamy texture and a long, mineral finish.
