About the producer
Originally known as Kilnflat, this distillery was renamed by Charles Kay in 1871. It was then bought by Hiram Walker, who used almost all of the malt for the Ballantine's blended whisky. For this reason, most Glenburgie single malts are only available as independent bottlings.
About the wine
A Glenburgie 5 Year Old bottled in the 1980s. This bottling was imported to Germany but initially produced for import to Italy, a country fond of young single malts like the Glen Grant 5 Year Old vintages introduced by Armando Giovinetti, Glen Grant’’s distributor in the 1960s.
