    Information
    About the producer

For the Rocca family, a fixture in Barbaresco since 1834, mixed farming and vineyards provide a significant proportion of the family income. Building on its strong wine legacy, the Rocca family bottled its first harvest in 1978. Over the years, vinification and viticulture techniques improved and the family began to create fine Piedmontese wines (Langhe Nebbiolo, Barbera d'Alba and Barbera d'Asti, Dolcetto and Chardonnay). Today, Bruno Rocca's children, Luisa and Francesco, are beginning to take over the reins and are working alongside their father.

    About the wine

Known for being the most renowned of Piedmont's red grape varieties, the Nebbiolo develops its delicious aromas to perfection in these limestone-rich soils. The vines enjoy the benefits of a healthy and sustainable viticulture, allowing each to draw the necessary nutrients from the soil. In the cellar, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel vats for around 25 to 30 days. Finally, the cuvée is carefully aged in French oak casks for around 12 months and then for 18 months in French oak barrels, before being bottled.
Enhanced by an intense garnet-red colour, the expressive nose is characterised by rich aromas of red fruits, such as blackberries, redcurrants and raspberries, accompanied by subtle floral hints of rose and violet. The smooth, warm palate unveils fine tannins, which pair perfectly with the light cinnamon and nutmeg flavours, leading to a long and flavourful finish.
