Information
With a fascinating history behind them, the Carthusian monks chose to return to their roots, producing a yellow liqueur embodying the legendary balance of the Tarragona region. This is because Carthusian monks produced their liqueurs at the Tarragona distillery in Spain between 1903 and 1989. This spirit results from the precise blend of different casks of Yellow Chartreuse, carefully aged and selected by the monks. The spirit naturally earned itself the name Reine des Liqueurs (Queen of Liqueurs) on account of its undisputed success at the finest tables, including those of the Imperial Court of Russia.
Boasting complex aromas and flavours, the liqueur reveals heady notes of liquorice that diffuse powerfully and persistently within a smooth texture. Reine des Liqueurs can be cellared for ever, and is perfect served on the rocks as an after-dinner drink or as part of a cocktail.
