Information
The Fuori Mondo vineyard lies in the heart of the Tuscan hills. Olivier tends ten hectares of vines with deep respect for soil health and biodiversity. Iconic regional varieties such as Ciliegiolo, Alicante Nera, Sangiovese, Carménère and Cabernet Sauvignon are cultivated according to traditional methods. Mindful of today’s environmental challenges, and committed to preserving biodiversity, Olivier works his land with the utmost respect for the soil. Each parcel is treated individually, according to its specific needs, allowing its distinct character to emerge. In the winery, the same philosophy prevails, enabling the Italian terroir to express itself fully. Vinification is deliberately low-intervention, with sulphur added only in minute quantities. In this peaceful setting, Fuori Mondo produces authentic, flavourful cuvées that offer a faithful reflection of Tuscany’s grape varieties.
Widely planted in Tuscany, yet little known in France, Ciliegiolo is recognisable by its long, generous bunches, round berries with dark purplish skins and large leaves. Naturally vigorous and productive, the variety is known for yielding supple red wines with soft tannins and a luminous ruby hue. The Ciliegiolo vines benefit from sustainable practices and are cultivated according to strict biodynamic principles, with no chemical fertilisers or herbicides used. The same care continues in the winery, where the grapes undergo low-intervention vinification to allow the fruit to express its full aromatic generosity.
In the glass, this delicious Tuscan wine reveals notes of spice layered with delicate floral nuances on the nose. The palate shows bright red fruit aromas supported by fine acidity, leading to a persistent, flavoursome finish. This cuvée will reward several years in bottle.
