Information
Nestled in the heart of the infamous Côtes de Nuits, between Vougeot and Vosne-Romanée, the Pinot Noir vines grow at an altitude of 250 metres on clay-limestone soils, the upper part of which is composed of pebbles, red silts and marls. The richness of this terroir offers a great aromatic complexity to the wines produced at the Echezeaux appellation. Once it’s time to harvest, the grapes are collected by hand before being carefully separated to ensure a unique and high-quality raw material.
The ruby-red colour accompanied by violet glints unveils an intense bouquet marked by aromas of prunes and wood. The palate evokes bursts of violet and roses which blend well with the cherry flavours, enhanced by the supple tannins leading to a round and deliciously long finish. To allow the cuvée to fully open up, this wine should be stored in the cellar for four to five years.
