Information
These Grenache vines flourish on slate soils lying at an altitude of around 950 metres in the heart of Spain’s Sierra de Gredos region. Each parcel is tended with great care and precision, in accordance with the principles of organic farming, ensuring that the vines draw all the nutrients they need directly from the soil. Following hand harvesting using small crates, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation triggered by indigenous yeasts. Lastly, the wine is matured in large French oak casks for 24 to 30 months.
The concentrated, rich vermilion colour reveals a highly expressive bouquet of red fruit aromas with subtle toasted hints. The rich, delicate mouthfeel reveals a balance of fine tannins and luscious, fruity aromas, leading to a persistent, concentrated finish. This wine may be enjoyed in its youth or following a good few years of cellaring.
