Information
The old Grenache vines grow on particularly well-drained, shallow granite soils, at an altitude of between 800 and 1000 metres, near the Spanish town of Ávila. They are cultivated according to organic farming practices with the greatest respect for the soil and for biodiversity. To preserve the fruit, the harvest is carried out by hand, using small crates. In the winery, vinification is low interventionist and the grapes undergo natural fermentation using indigenous yeasts. Lastly, the cuvée is matured for 18 to 24 months in French oak casks before bottling.
The intense red colour reveals a bouquet characterised by rich red fruit aromas. Creamy, luscious fruit flavours combine with great freshness. This cuvée offers great ageing potential.
