Information
The grapes come from vineyards in the charming village of Lanziego, in the heart of Spain’s Rioja Alavesa region. The vines grow on two types of soil of continental origin. One vineyard consists of stones, while the other stretches on slopes of marl and limestone. The grapes stem from healthy, sustainable viticulture that respects the principles of organic farming, allowing the fruit to flourish thanks to healthy, rich soils. Once the grapes have been harvested by hand, they undergo spontaneous fermentation using the indigenous yeasts present on the berries. Lastly, the wine is matured in concrete vats for six to seven months before bottling.
The vermilion colour reveals a nose characterised by subtle scents of red fruit and toasty notes. The fine tannins combine perfectly with great freshness on the palate. The wine offers great ageing potential.
