Information
The Weingut Wasenhaus estate located in Staufen im Breisgau, in the Baden region of Germany, produces the Bellen cuvée from Pinot Noir grapes. This wine is named after the Bellen parcel, where the mineral-rich soil offers the perfect conditions for cultivating this grape variety. Organic and biodynamic methods are employed in the vineyard to promote healthy soils and biodiversity. The grapes are hand-picked, ensuring a rigorous selection of the healthiest, most mature bunches. This method guarantees the quality and integrity of the grapes right from the start. The winemaking methods are traditional, the grapes ferment naturally thanks to native yeasts, preserving the purest expression of the terroir.
The juice is then matured in oak casks, providing subtle notes of wood and a good tannic structure. This nectar is characterised by a light ruby-red colour and complex aromas of cherry, spices and oak. On the palate, it offers silky tannins a good acidity, and a nice length, delivering a rich and well-balanced drinking experience.
