Information
The Grand Cru Bougros from Chablis is known for producing exquisite, full-bodied and lively wines and is situated halfway up the hillside of the Côte de Bouguereau. Nestled at the northwestern tip of the Burgundian Grand Cru region, the Chardonnay vines take root in stony, limestone soil. The southwestern exposure guarantees that each vine receives optimal sunshine for an intensely aromatic flavour profile. Once harvested the grapes ferment and are matured in large wooden tanks for around 12 months. Finally, the cuvée is aged for six more months in tanks to harmonise the flavour profile without losing its tenacity before being bottled.
The sensual and inviting bouquet of aromas includes yellow fruits with notes of spice, enhanced with a pleasant minerality, akin to a light sea breeze. The palate is delightfully well-balanced. The notes of spice with citrus are a perfect combination and lead to an energetic and long finish.
