Information
Les Parcellaires de Saulx estate, located in the prestigious Côte de Beaune region nestling between Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, produces, as its name suggests, authentically terroir-driven wines that showcase parcels and single vineyards. This is a Chambolle-Musigny from the Premier Cru Les Feusselottes, named after the word ‘fosse’ and translates as ‘small pits’. The Pinot Noir vines used to produce this wine are cultivated in shallow soils rich in red silt, which contributes to the wine’s fine tannins and delicately spicy finish. In the winery, the wine is aged for a year to 15 months in second-fill casks to avoid excessive woodiness.
Designed to be cellared for around ten years, the wine displays a rich ruby-red colour, heralding a complex bouquet. Red and black fruit, sweet spices and floral notes of rose and violet are balanced by a natural acidity essential for ageing.
