Information
Lafarge is a family-owned domain of 12 hectares, established in Volnay since the 19th century. Since then, each generation has strived to make it prosper and grow. In 1949 Michel and his father ran the domain; his son Frédéric joined them in 1978. From 1997 he started to use biodynamics in the domain and since 2000 all the vineyards are organically cultivated.
Biodynamic viticulture is much far more than a mere agricultural practice at Domaine Lafarge. It is a passion passed on from one generation to the next. Each grape in this wine is imbued with an enthralling lively energy. The vines, nurtured by the unique Trublion climate, produce a vibrant ode to Burgundian authenticity.
The delicate colour of this rosé offers a visual promise, a prelude to the sensory experience to come. The exquisitely delicate aromatic spectrum reveals aromas of fresh red berries. On the palate, succulent flavours create a captivating intensity.
Unsurprisingly, this rosé calls for a meticulously prepared culinary experience. A beetroot carpaccio with truffle oil is a subtle way to open the meal and prepare the palate for the delicacy of this cuvée. Then continue with a rosé-style coq au vin. Vegetarians will be delighted with an onion and tomato tart, which perfectly complements the wine’s nuances. Finally, the freshness of the strawberry sorbet will sublimate the last notes of this gastronomic symphony, leaving a memorable impression on the palate of connoisseurs.
