Information
Originating from the vineyard of Algiers, this cuvée is rooted in ancient history. The Phoenicians were the pioneers of viticulture on Algerian soil, before the vines were taken over and cultivated by the Roman Empire. Since the early 1960s, Algerian wine has been regaining its rightful place at the heart of the world’s winegrowing landscape, owing to the country’s fertile soils, favourable weather conditions and ancestral know-how.
The wine reveals a particularly dark colour with subtle tile-red nuances announcing a certain age The intense, elegant nose reveals delicious aromas of coffee, combined with light notes of mocha. On the palate, the broad structure balances beautifully with the superb, elegantly building to a delicious long-lasting finish. The cuvée will continue to evolve over several years, developing aromas of dried fruit, cooked fruit and dried flowers.
