Information
Maison Remoissenet Père & Fils was founded at the beginning of the 20th century by Pierre Alfred Remoissenet. In 2004, his great grandson, Roland Remoissenet, decided to hand it over and sold the domaine to Eddy & Howard Milstein, New York bankers and wine collectors. The latter then entrusted the general management to Bernard Repolt, a HEC business school graduate who had previously managed Maison Jadot, the son of doctors from Beaune. There he produces high quality wines which are precise, concentrated, reflect their soil and which are blessed with supple tannins and fine balance.
This cuvée is made from the vines planted in the Les Damodes climat, located in the village of Nuits Saint-Georges. Its soil is mostly made up of limestone with some clay, offering the ideal terroir for higher-quality grapes to grow. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are carefully vinified to extract all of the aromas and flavours of the terroir. Vinification generally takes place in open tanks, facilitating the extraction of tannins and colour. Ageing in oak barrels lasts around 18 months, giving structure and depth to the wine.
This Nuits Saint-Georges presents indulgent aromas of red and black fruits, such as cherries, raspberries and prunes accompanied by hints of delicate flowers, spices, leather and truffle. A light touch of wood completes the aromatic profile. On the palate, this bottle is elegant and balanced with fine tannins and a wonderful length. Its complexity and richness offer an unforgettable tasting experience.
