About the producer

Maison Agrapart & Fils, founded in Avize in the late 19th century, now extends over twelve hectares on the Côte des Blancs, eight of which are classified as grand cru. A family farm, it has maintained the status of récoltant manipulant. On a vineyard with 65 parcels, the vines (Chardonnay alone) are on average 40 years old. This very fine domain is particularly popular with wine lovers and is gaining fame: the cuvées produced by this sought-after maison are increasingly difficult to find! They stand out for their great finesse, mainly thanks to the low dosage and the fine minerality of the wines.

About the wine

This Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs from Agrapart is a 100% Chardonnay, sourced from the Robarts and Gros Yeux parcels in Avize, renowned for their distinctive geological profile. The soil, consisting of deep clay layers lying above chalk, gives the champagne an extraordinary level of complexity. Pascal Agrapart conducts the vinification process in demi-muids, allowing for greater aromatic expression and perfect maturation. The champagne is aged for over five years in the estate’s cellars for more than five years, without fining or filtration. The wine is disgorged two months prior to release, with a dosage of 3 g/L, preserving the grape variety’s richness and depth. Avizoise champagne offers a combination of gastronomic depth and richness while remaining effortlessly elegant.
The nose exudes white flowers and poached pear combined with hints of dried fruit, almond and pine. Fine, delicate bubbles tickle the palate, while a powerful minerality mingles with a rich fruitiness to deliver a long, mineral finish. This cuvée boasts complexity and character, perfect for pairing with refined dishes.
