Information
The Les Hauts Beaumonts climat lies in the upper part of Vosne-Romanée, at the foot of the slope. The clay-limestone terroir, rich in white marl, lend the wine finesse, freshness and vibrant tension. Though classified under regional designation, this locality directly benefits from the noble geology of the Côte de Nuits. Manual harvests involve a rigorous sorting process directly in the vineyard. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation starts naturally with native yeasts and is punctuated by gentle manual punch downs. Maceration lasts around 18 to 20 days. The wine then ages in French oak casks for 12 months.
The wine displays a clear, bright ruby-red hue. The nose charms with floral elegance, opening on dried rose, fresh raspberry, Morello cherry and bramble, lifted by discreet sweet spice and a hint of undergrowth. On the palate, the attack is delicate and juicy, leading to a silky, texture supported by supple, perfectly integrated tannins.
