Information
Alexandre Chaillon is a young winegrower proudly representing his generation, having served as President of the Champagne Young Winegrowers’ Association since 2020. He leads by example, tending his vines according to certified organic viticulture practices. Alexandre has even pioneered the use of paper grape caps, a first in Champagne.
Duo de Breux is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. The vines are planted in the commune of Brugny-Vaudancourt, south of Épernay, near Avize. They are spread across two different localities with soils composed of clay, limestone and silt. The vines benefit from an excellent north-easterly aspect.
In the winery, vinification takes place in 228- and 300-litre oak barrels, as well as in four sandstone eggs. The wines are aged in these vessels for several months. The result is a sparkling wine bursting with aromas of apple, pear, Muscat grape, jasmine and brioche. The palate is fresh, generous and delicate.
