Information
Created in 2012 on the central plateau of Pomerol, L’Enclos Tourmaline is a project unbound by tradition yet firmly rooted in excellence, named after the gemstone known for its many facets. Set at the highest point of the appellation, this confidential estate produces the wine only in the finest vintages. The terroir, composed of blue clay and gravel typical of the plateau, brings power, concentration and a distinctive mineral edge. The harvest is entirely manual and carried out parcel by parcel, with multiple passes through the vineyard to ensure optimal ripeness. The wine is transferred directly into new and one-wine oak barrels from the moment of harvest. Ageing is long, lasting between 18 and 36 months on lees until bottling.
The wine shows an intense, almost black hue. The nose is rich and expressive, with aromas of strawberry compote, black cherry, crème de cassis, sweet spices, liquorice and violet. Velvety on the palate, it reveals a generous core of fruit, silky tannins and a freshness that brings balance, leading to a smooth, indulgent finish.
