Information
Les Myrs embodies the free-spirited, wild and complex character of Roussillon. It hails from Carignan vines that thrive on black schist and clay-limestone marl soils, which confer minerality and natural drainage, enhancing the wine’s tension, depth and aromatic complexity. The estate adheres to organic viticultural practices. The winemaking process is natural, with no inputs. Alcoholic fermentation starts naturally with native yeasts, and the fruit undergoes a gentle, extended 20-day maceration ensuring delicate extraction. Ageing then extends during 12 months without stirring of the lees or filtration.
Les Myrs reveals a deep garnet hue. The refined and distinctive nose combines ripe black fruit, sweet spice and garrigue notes, underpinned by the minerality typical of schist. The velvety attack is carried by a fine mineral tension, a finely woven tannic backbone and impressive persistence.
