Information
The Puligny-Montrachet appellation, in the Côte de Beaune between Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet, is one of the ultimate benchmarks for Burgundy’s finest white wines. Among its Premiers Crus, Les Folatières is both the most renowned and the most extensive. In the winery, the hand-picked fruit is vinified in whole bunches. The juice is then cold settled before alcoholic fermentation begins spontaneously in oak casks. Ageing follows for 12 months on fine lees, in casks with 25% new wood.
The pale yellow hue is graced with golden glints. The subtle, elegant nose reveals white flowers and stone fruit notes, intertwined with chalky minerality and buttery touches. The palate opens with precision, combining amplitude and tension, and flows into a long, energetic, finely chiselled finish.
