Information
The Puligny-Montrachet appellation is a jewel of the Côte de Beaune. Among its 17 climats classified as Premier Cru, Les Folatières is one of the most iconic and extensive. Its shallow soils are highly calcareous, mixed with white marl and limestone scree. In the winery, the hand-picked fruit undergoes a traditional, low-intervention vinification process. Alcoholic fermentation then begins spontaneously. Ageing on fine lees extends over a period of 18 months, after which the wine is bottled without fining or filtration to preserve its natural texture.
The wine displays a clear, brilliant pale yellow hue with golden glints. The refined, complex nose reveals notes of white flowers, citrus and fresh butter. The precise palate offers a silky yet taut texture, flowing into a finish that is both mineral and fruit-driven, characterised by notes of lemon.
