Information
This Barolo hails from the Langhe hills in Piedmont. The Nebbiolo vines benefit from a south-eastern exposure at approximately 350 metres altitude, rooted in blue marl and limestone soils. In the winery, fermentation follows a traditional approach. It proceeds slowly and spontaneously with native yeasts before a long maceration on the skins. The wine is then aged for several years in oak casks, developing elegance and great ageing potential.
The wine shows a deep garnet hue with subtle tile-red glints. The nose is rich and complex, marked by notes of ripe black fruits, dried rose and a touch of sweet spice lifted by mineral undertones. On the palate, an elegant attack reveals firm yet silky tannins within a layered structure, leading to a long, saline and delicately spicy finish.
