Information
The vines, located in the heart of Champagne, benefit from a cool, oceanic climate ideal for growing Pinot Meunier. The clay-limestone and marly soils of Les Charmiers, a Premier Cru locality, give the wine marked minerality and precise structure, bringing both tension and freshness. Manual harvests with a rigorous selection of the bunches are followed by a natural vinification process in stainless-steel vats to preserve aromatic purity. A short skin maceration imparts the wine a delicate pinkish hue. Ageing on fine lees with regular stirring takes place in temperature-controlled vats. The second fermentation in bottle creates a fine, persistent mousse that underlines the freshness of this low-dosage Extra-Brut Champagne.
The wine reveals a luminous pale pink hue. The nose opens with aromas of fresh red berries and subtle floral notes. On the palate, the lively and crisp first sip leads to a silky texture lifted by a lively acidity.
