Information
The Quintette cuvée is crafted from Chardonnay grown on five distinct terroirs: Vertus Premier Cru, Épernay, Pierry Premier Cru, Dizy Premier Cru, and Mardeuil. All lie on loamy clay soils rich in limestone, with a shallow chalky subsoil. Vinification takes place in oak casks, and the blend includes 20% reserve wines from a solera started in 2012. The wine then enjoys an extended 36 to 48 months maturation on lees.
In the glass, it shows a pale yellow hue with golden glints. The nose is complex and fresh, weaving lively citrus, stewed white fruits, fine spice, dried herbs and pastry notes typical of the chalky terroir. On the palate, the wine is broad yet crunchy, carried by a precise, finely chiselled foam. The striking balance between ripe fruit richness and refreshing acidity leads into a long, saline, mineral-driven finish.
